How do we utilise unit rate calculations in the process of costing projects?

This course aims to develop your understanding of the factors affecting the total cost of labour to an organisation. By the end of the course, you should be able to define the term ‘all-in-rate’ for labour and be able to calculate it.

You will also examine the factors affecting the cost of materials, calculate material cost component and examine the factors affecting the total cost of a plant to an organisation.

Finally, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the principles of unit rate estimating and understand the process for calculating unit rate for excavation/earthwork.
